06/08/2008 MCMURRAY OVERCOMES EARLY RACE INCIDENT TO FINISH TOP-20 AT POCONO
This afternoon’s Sprint Cup race marked Roush Fenway Racing driver Jamie McMurray’s 200th career start in NASCAR’s elite series. After starting 22nd, McMurray, piloting the No. 26 IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford Fusion was quickly able to move into the top-15.

Hot temperatures, sweat, hydration and a slick track were all words heard around the start of the Sharp Aquos 500. When the 250-lap race started at 5:00 PM, the thermometer was still reading well above 100 degrees, on a day that was noted by many drivers to be the hottest race day in recent memory.
